Take Root Downward, Bear Fruit Upward The Flow of a Thriving Life

Take Root Downward, Bear Fruit Upward The Flow of a Thriving Life By Nicholas Uanikhoba Throughout Scripture, the imagery of trees conveys profound truths about life in God, the life of the righteous. Psalm 1:3 paints the picture: "They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers." Your life is like a tree. And every part of this tree offers vital lessons about how your spiritual life can thrive in Christ. LOVE: The Soil that Nourishes all Growth Before we speak of roots or fruit, we must begin with the ground. God’s love is the soil in which your entire life as a believer grows. "…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love …" (Ephesians 3:17) God’s love is the unchanging environment that nourishes every part of your spiritual being. FRIENDS OF JESUS: The Unfailing Power of Walking in Love

FRIENDS OF JESUS: The Unfailing Power of Walking in Love By Nicholas Uanikhoba "Therefore, doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father."  (John 10:17–18). God is love. Just as the Father needed Jesus’s obedience for His love to reach us, Jesus now needs our obedience for His love to reach others. That is why love is a commandment, not a suggestion. It was a commandment for Jesus. It is a commandment for us: "This is My commandment, that you love one...

Faith, Patience, and the Unstoppable Purposes of God

Faith, Patience, and the Unstoppable Purposes of God By Nicholas Uanikhoba Delay often fuels unbelief. Unbelief, in turn, sponsors impatience. And impatience drives us to take matters into our own hands. God’s promises are always good, but acting outside of His timing never produces good. Impatience leads to sin, not because we are weak, but because we’ve stepped out of faith. That’s why we need help to overcome the spirit of impatience. It’s one of the enemy’s strategies to rob us. He cannot stop God from giving a promise. And if he can’t stop us from believing and obeying, he’ll try to stop us from waiting for the manifestation. But here is the good news: Even our impatience cannot cancel God's promise. It may delay it. It may bring pain and detours. But if we repent and return to faith, God’s Word will still come to pass. Nothing can stop the promise God has made. Not Satan. Not time. Not age. Not even death. Consider Abraham and Sarah. When Sarah grew wea...
