PROJECT GOODWILL

Releasing the Heart of God in a World Starving for Grace

       - Nicholas Uanikhoba

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men." — Luke 2:14 (KJV)

When the angels filled the sky that night in Bethlehem, they weren’t just making a birth announcement. They were revealing the heartbeat of Heaven: God's goodwill toward humankind.

In that one word—goodwill—we get a glimpse into God's posture toward us. Not just a vague sense of kindness, but a deliberate, joyful intention to bless, heal, and restore. And here's the beautiful part: we’re invited to reflect that same goodwill to the world around us.

Let’s explore what that really means—both theologically and practically.

What Is Goodwill?

The word translated as "goodwill" in Luke 2:14 comes from the Greek eudokia, which carries meanings like:

  • Good pleasure
  • Delight
  • Kind intention
  • Favorable purpose
  • Gracious will

It’s not just God being nice. It's God delighting in us. The angels weren’t just declaring peace—they were saying, “God is leaning in with love.” His kindness isn't reluctant or reactive. It’s overflowing and intentional.

God’s Goodwill Is Active, Not Passive

1. He Thinks Good Toward You

God’s goodwill begins in His thoughts—and they’re not random.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you... thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." — Jeremiah 29:11

He isn’t indifferent. He’s not standing at a distance, arms folded. He’s engaged, thinking peace over you. Every single day.

2. Grace, Not Performance

You didn’t earn God’s goodwill. You don’t have to. It showed up long before you ever got your act together.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8

This is unearned, unmerited, completely undeserved love. And it’s yours.

3. Jesus Is Goodwill in Human Form

Everything Jesus did—healing the sick, feeding the hungry, comforting the broken—was God’s goodwill in motion.

"This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." — Matthew 3:17

And now, because of Jesus, that same pleasure rests on you.

Projecting Goodwill: A Choice That Changes Atmospheres

Love Is a Decision

Let’s be honest—sometimes it’s easier to be offended, bitter, or quietly resentful. But that’s not neutral. That’s projecting something else entirely.

When we choose to love, even when it’s hard, we’re engaging in spiritual warfare. We’re tearing down cycles of judgment and releasing healing instead.

Your Will Has Weight

The human will is incredibly powerful. When you think kind thoughts, pray sincere prayers, or even silently bless someone—you shift the spiritual climate around them.

On the flip side, harboring ill will or resentment can weigh others down, especially those who are spiritually vulnerable. It's subtle, but real.

Be a Channel of Heaven

God’s looking for people who will carry His atmosphere into broken places. That’s what goodwill looks like in action. When we project it, we:

  • Bring healing, not hurt
  • Encourage, not criticize
  • Reflect Heaven, not human judgment

We’ve received so much. Let’s pour it out freely.

Final Thoughts: This Is What Heaven Feels Like

Living under God’s goodwill is living under His smile. But projecting goodwill? That’s living like Him. It’s choosing to bless when you could stay silent. To forgive when it’s not deserved. To love with your will, even if your emotions aren’t there yet.

In a world hungry for kindness and grace, you can be a living message from Heaven.

So today—release peace. Think hope. Speak life. Bless others.

Because every time you project goodwill, you’re releasing the very heart of God into the world around you.
