GOD REIGNS FOREVER
"The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof." — Psalm 97:1 (KJV)
The reign of God is an unchanging truth that anchors our faith and fuels our worship. Whether in moments of victory or in seasons of trial, God is still on the throne — reigning forever.
When you know this truth deep in your heart, you will always rejoice in worship, regardless of what you face. You will exalt God as Lord over every circumstance because no situation has the power to dethrone Him.
1. Trials Do Not Dethrone God — Worship Him Anyway
"Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines... Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation." — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NKJV)
Even when life looks contrary, God reigns. Your trial has not dethroned Him.
2. Trials Are Tests to Refine Your Faith and Worship
"In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ." — 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NKJV)
God uses trials to refine our faith and deepen our worship.
3. Trials Are Opportunities to Defy the Enemy’s Plan to Steal Your Worship
"Does Job fear God for nothing?... Stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!" — Job 1:9-11 (NKJV)
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." — 2 Corinthians 4:17 (NKJV)
Your trial is a battleground for worship. Worship boldly because God reigns forever!
4. Worship in the Midst of Trials Invites God’s Intervention
"But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God... and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed." — Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)
Worship shifts the atmosphere and invites God’s power.
5. God Reigns — Let It Fuel Your Joyful Worship
"Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" — Philippians 4:4 (NKJV)
His reign gives us reason to rejoice at all times!
6. God's Reign Becomes Personal to You When You Belong to Him
Though God reigns over all creation, those who believe in Jesus Christ experience the blessings of His reign personally.
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." — John 1:12 (NKJV)
When you belong to God, you can face every trial with confidence because the King of kings is for you.
"If God is for us, who can be against us?" — Romans 8:31 (NKJV)
If you haven't made Jesus Lord of your life, today is the day to surrender and live under His gracious reign.
Conclusion: Worship Because He Reigns
Your trial has not dethroned God. Worship Him because He reigns!
