DECLARE YOUR HOPE

Hope is a powerful thing. We can sometimes feel hopeless naturally because of present circumstances. But no child of God who understands his or her identity in Christ should ever be hopeless again.  It is important for every child of God to first understand the principle that raised Christ from the dead.  ● He believed in hope.  ● He constantly declared His hope.  ● And he acted His hope.  ● He lived by His hope. “ Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest IN HOPE .  For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore .” (‭Psalms 16:9-11 NKJV‬). This was the attitude that allowed God to raise Him from the dead. His hope was founded in the promise of God to raise Him up¹.  Jesus died on the Cross, he was buried, and descended into hell. He held on to His hope even i...

THE WEIGHTIER MATTERS

Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone of the house of God¹. He put the matters of the law into two categories². ■ WEIGHTY MATTER: Tithe. ■ WEIGHTIER MATTERS: Justice, mercy and faith. Jesus talked about tithing in the context of justice, mercy and faith. He instructed us to do the weightier matters first and not leave the weighty matters undone. He said, “ WOE UNTO YOU , scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you PAY TITHES of mint and anise and cummin, and have OMITTED the WEIGHTIER MATTERS of the law, JUSTICE , MERCY , and FAITH : these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone .” (Matthew 23:23). Are there not people who deceive their neighbor, steal from them, oppress them, even kill; but they pay their tithes? Others refuse to forgive. They are filled with bitterness, hatred and vengean...

SYMPTOMS OF FAITH

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is anchored on hope. Here is some understanding of hope. i. To anticipate good or salvation with pleasure.  ii. Confident expectation of good or salvation.  iii. The author of hope, or he who is the foundation of it.  iv. A promise given by the author of your hope.  v. The thing that is hoped for. The vision in your heart. Hope is a picture (dream or vision) of a good and expected end. God gives us supernatural, living hope through the knowledge of His word or promises. God fills us with hope, he injects his promise into our hearts, by his Spirit. Joy and peace within confirm to us that we believe in hope. Joy and peace are independent of circumstances. They are the two symptoms of faith. ABOUNDING IN HOPE Righteousness defines a believer. For with the heart man BELIEVES unto RIGHTEOUSNESS¹.  By the power of the Holy Spirit or the word of God, a believer can overflow in hope and be full of joy and peace, even in ...
