THE WEIGHTIER MATTERS OF THE LAW

 Salvation is your divine right

Salvation, which includes healing, deliverance, protection, preservation and provision; is a matter of justice. And justice is a matter of the law. Justice is the first on the list of “the weightier matters of the law” mentioned by Jesus Christ Himself. The weightier matters of the law are JUSTICE, MERCY and FAITH. The Cross of Jesus Christ is about “the weightier matters of the law”¹.

You have a divine right to be Saved. That right was purchased for you through the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross and His subsequent resurrection from the dead after three days. Do not be robbed of your divine right to salvation.

JUSTICE IS THE FIRST CONSIDERATION IN WHATEVER GOD DOES.

Will this satisfy the requirement for justice?”

God is always just even in His love. That is also His standard for man. Whatever a man does, the first thing God will check is if justice has been satisfied. The divine law is always fair to all; even to the wicked.

HIS SECOND CONSIDERATION IS MERCY. Did this person show mercy or love in this action?” The justice of human dealings is measured by the obedience to the commandment of love. That is, “Was it done in love?”² Love is a matter of motives.

FAITH IS HIS THIRD CONSIDERATION

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Without faith we can't receive the justice that God has provided for us in Christ Jesus. God is just to save us through Christ. Justice has been satisfied.³ But we are made righteous when we receive, by faith, the truth that Jesus Christ died for our sins. “Therefore being JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. (Romans 5:1).

THE JUSTICE FOR FREEDOM

Before Christ came and died on the Cross man was under the divine sentence of spiritual death. Man was under the curse. Man was under the bondage of Satan. It was all legal. It was the justice we deserved for the sin of the first man, Adam⁴. But God wanted mankind under the divine sentence of eternal life. He wanted us to be blessed. That was His original plan. That was where Adam fell from. Jesus went to the Cross to die in order to satisfy the requirement of divine justice for our freedom; for eternal life and the blessing to be ours. Jesus died on the Cross because of His love for us. You see, the love of God is just.

Since Christ has fulfilled the requirement of the law, man has been set free from bondage to Satan. That is now the verdict of God. Mankind is free from all the oppression of Satan by the death of Christ on the Cross and His subsequent resurrection from the dead. That is the truth. It is now an injustice for Satan to oppress any man. Such injustice is now only permitted by three things.

1. Ignorance of the truth.

2. Unbelief in the truth.

3. Disobedience to the truth.

FAITH IS THE LAW FOR SALVATION

The solution is to preach Christ crucified. In the eyes of God, the law and the prophets being the witness, any one who is still under the sentence of death and the curse is suffering an injustice from Satan. The right thing to do is to tell them the truth. The preaching of the Cross makes known the freedom for humanity. The preaching of the Cross exposes the truth about the ongoing injustice of Satan against mankind. So that people can choose to come out from under the oppression of Satan. The moment they act on the truth, Satan has no authority to keep them. It is the justice system of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being JUSTIFIED FREELY by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that HE MIGHT BE JUST, and the justifier of him which BELIEVES in Jesus.

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. BY WHAT LAW? of works? Nay: but BY THE LAW OF FAITH.

Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED by FAITH without the deeds of the law.” (Romans 3:23-28).

As a result of the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, salvation for humanity is no longer a matter of the law of Moses. Jesus has fulfilled the LAW OF MOSES. Salvation is now a matter of the LAW OF FAITH. We fulfill the law of Moses through faith in Jesus Christ. The law of Moses approves faith in Jesus Christ as the means for salvation. Salvation also means receiving righteousness and eternal life. It means freedom from sin and Satan. Salvation is instant once it is received by faith. “For Christ is the END OF THE LAW for RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one that BELIEVES.” (Romans 10:4).

The Cross of Jesus Christ is about “the weightier matters of the law”. Salvation is a matter of justice. It may sound so simple or cheap to receive. But divine justice is satisfied every time a person gives his or her life to Christ. It is your undeniable right to be free from all satanic oppression through faith in Jesus Christ; even faith in His blood. If you don't believe in Jesus Christ; you are doing yourself an injustice. You are sinning against yourself. That is a sin that will lead to an eternal regret.
