KNOW YOUR IDENTITY

Your identity is stronger than your adversity. Your identity and outcome in life is written (prophesied) in the volume of the book. But you have to discover it to receive it. You have to know it, believe it and affirm it. What is written about you is always the truth. 


JESUS CHRIST IS OUR EXAMPLE


"And Jesus said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that ALL THINGS must be fulfilled, which WERE WRITTEN in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, CONCERNING ME.


And said unto them, Thus IT IS WRITTEN, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,


that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in HIS NAME among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:44, 46-47).


"Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book IT IS WRITTEN OF ME,) to do your will, O God.


By which WILL we are SANCTIFIED through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Hebrews 10:7, 10).


These two texts speak about Jesus Christ. The will of God for Him was written in the volume of the book - the scriptures. He came to do the will of God which was written of Him. He found it in the volume of the book and He has done it. The will of God was for Him to die and rise up again to save us. 


There are some things that were written about Christ in the book that remain to be fulfilled. Some shall be fulfilled in and through the lives of those who will believe in Him. You will observe that it is written in the volume of the book that we are sanctified by the will of God which Christ has done. We are sanctified by faith in His death on the Cross and resurrection. 


Now if you believe in Jesus Christ it becomes your responsibility to find out what is written about those WHO believe in Him. You have to know what is written about you in Christ. You will find most of these things in the epistles. They are prophetic verdicts. They were written by the Spirit to be fulfilled in you or by you.


WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST?


I have listed below some of those things written about you if you are in Christ. Mostly in the form of an identity confession.


  1. I am in Christ.


  1. I am born of God.


  1. God is my Father.


  1. I am a spirit.


  1. Christ is my life. 


  1. My life is hidden with Christ in God.


  1. I am joined to God.


  1. I am redeemed.


  1. I am forgiven.


  1. I am justified.


  1. I am sanctified.


  1. I have eternal life.


  1. I am a new creature.


  1. I am the righteousness of God.


  1. I am the seed of Abraham.


  1. I am blessed.


  1. The blessing of the Lord makes me rich.


  1. I am surrounded with favor.


  1. I am a blessing


  1. All the promises of God are mine.


  1. I am healed.


  1. I am an overcomer.


  1. I am more than conqueror.


  1. I am triumphant.


  1. I am the beloved of God.


  1. I love God.


  1. I am complete in Christ.


  1. I am a joint heir with Christ.


  1. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit.


  1. God is in me. And He is greater than the devil.


  1. I am delivered from the power of death.


  1. I am delivered from the power of darkness.


  1. I am a citizen of heaven.


  1. I am far above principality and power.


  1. I live by the faith of Christ.


  1. I walk by faith, not by sight.


  1. There is no condemnation to me.


  1. I have overcome the world.


  1. I am called by the name of Jesus.


  1. I have authority over the devil and all his works.


  1. God is with me 


  1. God is in me.


  1. God is for me.


  1. God will never leave me nor forsake me.


  1. I have the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.


  1. I have the mind of Christ.


  1. I am an ambassador of God.


  1. I am God's minister of reconciliation.


  1. I am purchased with the blood of Christ.


  1. I belong to God spirit, soul and body.


  1. I glorify God in my body and my spirit.


  1. I am a royal priesthood; a king and priest of God on earth.


  1. I am a chosen generation on the earth.


  1. I am a holy nation on the earth.


  1. I am light in this world.


  1. I am the salt of the earth.


  1. I overcome the devil by the blood of Christ and the words of my testimony.


  1. I have obtained mercy from God.


  1. I am a vessel of mercy.


  1. God has given me peace.


  1. I am called and prepared for glory 


  1. The grace of God is sufficient for me.


  1. When I am weak, then am I strong.


  1. Christ is my strength.


  1. Christ is my wisdom.


  1. Christ is my righteousness.


  1. Christ is my redemption.


  1. Christ is my sanctification.


  1. God is my Helper.


  1. I shall never be ashamed.


  1. I reign in life by Jesus Christ.


  1. I shall not perish.


  1. I have passed from death to life.


  1. I live by the commandment of love.


  1. God is working in me to will and to do His good pleasure.


  1. I am the workmanship of God.


  1. I have supernatural undying hope.


  1. It is my right to know the mystery of the kingdom of God (Mark 4:24, Ephesians 1:17, Colossians 1:9).


  1. The Holy Spirit is my teacher.


  1. I am led by the Spirit.


  1. The Spirit of God bears witness with my spirit.


  1. I am for signs and for wonder.


  1. I cast out devils.


  1. I speak with new tongues.


  1. When I lay my hand on the sick they recover.


  1. If I drink any deadly thing it cannot hurt me.


  1. I take up serpents without getting hurt.


  1. I am a servant of God.


  1. I have the grace to serve God.


  1. I have power by the Spirit of God upon me.


  1. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is in me.


  1. I am delivered from the enemy.


  1. I serve God without fear.


  1. I serve God in holiness and righteousness.


  1. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.


  1. I am a servant of righteousness.


  1. All things are mine.


  1. Life is mine.


  1. The present is mine.


  1. The future is mine.


  1. Death is under my authority


  1. Prosperity is mine.


  1. Nothing can separate me from the love of God.


  1. I do the works that Christ did and greater works.


  1. If I ask anything in the name of Jesus Christ it shall be done.


  1. The eyes of the Lord are upon me.


  1. The ears of the Lord are open to my cry.


  1. My effectual fervent prayer avails much.


  1. I am foreknown and predestined by God to be conformed to the image of his Son, Jesus Christ. 


  1. I am predestinated, called, justified to be glorified by God.


  1. All things work together for my good.


  1. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, it has not entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for me.


  1. Christ in me is the hope of glory.


These and more is who you are and what you are called to be In Christ. It is written in the volume of the book.
