WORSHIP WITHOUT FEAR

Beginning from the fall of Adam in the garden of Eden man received the spirit of fear. The first evidence of this spirit of fear is that it would rather flee to hide from God's presence(1). It is a guilty spirit, condemned by sin. However since then man has sought many ways to worship God. But the problem is you cannot truly worship or serve God in bondage. Fear is a spirit of bondage.

Jesus came to deliver us from bondage to fear. "That he would grant unto us, that we being DELIVERED out of the hand of our enemies might SERVE HIM WITHOUT FEAR, in holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life." (Luke 1:74-75).

Jesus came to make us true worshippers of God. This truth can impact every aspect of our lives.

"GOD IS A SPIRIT: and they that WORSHIP him must WORSHIP him in SPIRIT and in truth." (John 4:24).

This was Jesus Himself speaking. Apostle Paul later gave us helpful insight on this subject. "But he that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT"  (1 Corinthians 6:17). If a man is in Christ, he is joined to God spirit to spirit. He can now worship GOD as Father. God is the Father of spirits.

SPIRIT OF FAITH

God is a faith Spirit. After salvation we don't have the spirit of fear(2) anymore. We receive the same spirit of faith as God. But we need knowledge to maximize the potentials of the spirit of faith that we now have.

The spirit of faith is the spirit of true worship. It is a spirit of liberty that seeks God. It is a righteous spirit. It is a bold spirit, delighting to live in the presence of God with joy; crying, Abba, Father.

WORSHIP IN TRUTH

True worship is not only in spirit; it is also in truth - the word of God. If a child of God fears it is not because he has the spirit of fear; but because he doesn't fully comprehend who he is. Or he believed the lie of the devil.

"But the hour comes, and now is, when the TRUE WORSHIPPERS shall WORSHIP the Father in SPIRIT and in TRUTH: for the Father seeks such to WORSHIP him." (John 4:23).

Through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ we have been made sons of God. We are spirits. We are the righteousness of God. We are one with God. We are true worshippers of God.
