ACTIVATE THE BLESSING OF ASHER
It doesn't take special insight to know that life is not going to get easier. It is always going to come with challenges. What we need is strength to match the challenges of the time and triumph over them. What we need is to grow in strength with time.
Long ago I heard Reverend (Dr.) Tunde Joda say "Life is a function of strength." I later heard Pastor Gbolahan Daniel say, "Only the strong will survive."
Another way of saying it is that we all need to activate the blessing of Asher, the eighth son of Israel. That blessing belongs to every child of God.
"Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and AS THY DAYS, so shall thy STRENGTH be." (Deuteronomy 33:25, KJV).
"The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your STRENGTH will EQUAL your days." (NIV).
“Your STRONGHOLDS will be iron and bronze, And AS YOUR DAYS ARE, so will your STRENGTH, your rest and SECURITY be." (Amplified).
The blessing of Asher is a blessing of TRIUMPH over all the offensive strategy of the enemy against us. It's a function of STRENGTH which engenders REST, SECURITY. That's what it takes to be called Asher (Happy).
The wise man said, "If you faint in the day of adversity, thy STRENGTH is small." (Proverbs 24:10).
Strength also means GRACE. It doesn't matter what comes against you, you will have sufficient strength to overcome it and your progress will not be hindered. Instead your testimony will be greater and louder. It will be to you as God said to Apostle Paul.
"My GRACE is SUFFICIENT for you: for my STRENGTH is made perfect in weakness..." (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Challenges will make you look weak. But they come to test the strength you are relying upon. The blessing of Asher demands that you rest solely on the strength of God.
You will be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10).
You will be strong in the Grace which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 2:1).
The wisdom of God and His word will make you stronger than your adversary.
"A wise man is STRONG; yea, a man of knowledge increases STRENGTH." (Proverbs 24:5).
The joy of the Lord will be your STRENGTH if you choose to always rejoice in the Lord (Nehemiah 8:10, Habakkuk 3:18-19).
You can declare like the Beloved, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalms 46:1).
If you have the strength that is greater than that of a lion, it won't matter if a lion comes against you. You will laugh at it. In the name of Jesus Christ:
- AS YOUR DAYS ARE, so will your STRENGTH be.
- AS YOUR DAYS ARE so will your REST be.
- AS YOUR DAYS AREs so will your SECURITY be.
- The Lord shall be your STRONGHOLD in every department of life.
- You shall be HAPPY all your days.
