When God sent Moses back to Egypt to save His people, He did not only give him A MESSAGE . He also gave him A ROD . " And you shall take THIS ROD in your hand, wherewith you shall DO SIGNS. And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses TOOK THE ROD OF GOD in his hand ." (Exodus 4:17, 20). Likewise when we are saved from the world, God sends us back into the world to save others. Also with A MESSAGE and A ROD . The average Christian knows the message of Christ. But we underestimate the scope of the power of the rod we carry to do signs, wonders and miracles.  Like Moses, until we are persuaded about the authority of the rod we bear, we will be unwilling to go back to the world to save others. THE NAME OF JESUS ! That is the rod we bear as we preach the message of reconciliation. Have you read* about the story of the soldier who left everything to seek help to save HIS SERVANT from death? It's one of the greatest example of leadership on record. He was a Roman who exercised Caesar's authority over a hundred soldier. He was commended by God because he left his duty post to seek for help for the healing of HIS SERVANT. He was not commended because he fought a battle and won. He was commended by God because he didn't treat HIS SERVANT as an expendable when, because of an evil tormenting influence, he lay dying and could no longer obey him as usual. Think about it. This compassionate soldier cared enough, even for HIS SERVANT to put everything aside and intercede for his healing. Joseph's own brothers were initially going to kill him; but they changed their minds and decided to sell him instead. When they met Joseph many years later he was now Prime Minister of Egypt. He was in the fulfillment of his call by God. This is what Joseph told his brothers. " But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive ." (Genesis 50:20). Your purpose is not for your personal good alone. We often think about our own immediate good; when, in fact, God is thinking about the ultimate good of many. That is why He calls us. There is a mystery in scripture that will help us to be able to submit to God and let Him work out His good plan through the circumstances of our lives. "Mercy, Grace and Help is available at the throne of grace." " Let us therefore COME BOLDLY unto the THRONE OF GRACE, that we may OBTAIN MERCY, and FIND GRACE TO HELP in time of need ." (Hebrews 4:16). If a man truly understands what this text is saying he will never again run from the presence of God. You see, we are not expecting judgment when we come to the throne of grace. Mercy, grace and help is what is waiting for us there. We only get judgment if we refuse to come to the throne of grace.  No one can lay a charge against you before God as long as your faith is in Christ. For Christ is there making intercession for you before God*.  If you read Isaiah 53 and John 17 you will get a picture of what He is praying. God will not condemn who Jesus has not condemned.
