GOD WILL HELP YOU

There is a difference between "I will never LEAVE you" and "I will never FORSAKE you." To leave you is to stop upholding you; to let go of you and let you sink. While to forsake is to abandon.

Someone can forsake you when your burden becomes too heavy for him to bear. He can forsake you when you become a source of shame and embarrassment to him. He can forsake you when you become a source of pain to him. He can forsake you when being with you becomes dangerous.

But God will Never leave you nor forsake you. He is only waiting for your cry for mercy and help to intervene for your good. It is only when you understand that God has not forsaken you that you can boldly call for His help.

"So that we may BOLDLY say, THE LORD IS MY HELPER, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." (Hebrews 13:6).

IT'S A COVENANT THING

This is not just about you. It is because of what Christ has done for you. It is because you are in Christ. He took your place in all curses. On the Cross Christ has redeemed you from the curse of being forsaken by God.

"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice... My God, my God, why have you FORSAKEN ME? (Matthew 27:46).

So the promise never to forsake you was actually made to Christ. God is a covenant keeping God. For Him to break His covenant is to fail to be God. That's one point. Second, God is too loving to forsake you now. It was in His love that He offered up Christ to die in your place. Thirdly, God is all powerful. There is no enemy or circumstance that can ever come against you that will scare Him and make Him to forsake you. God is greater than all.

FEAR NOT!

√ You may be persecuted now, but you are NOT FORSAKEN*.

√ You may have sinned, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be sick now, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be poor now, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be jobless now, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be hungry now, but God has not forsaken you

√ You may be single now or a single mother, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be in prison now, but God has not forsaken you*.

√ You may be homeless now, but God has not forsaken you.

√ You may be confused now, but God has not forsaken you.

CRY OUT TO GOD

Though God will never forsake you; you can forsake Him. If you are not in Christ you have forsaken God.

Your first cry should be; "Jesus, Have mercy on me. Save my soul. Be my Savior and my Lord!"

Then cry out to God for His help. "Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, you are my Helper! Have mercy on me. Help me now!"

In the name of Jesus Christ it shall be well with you!
