THE LIFE GIVER

The relationship between death and life can be compared to that between darkness and light. Darkness always flees from the presence of light. In the same way, God has designed that death always flees from the presence of life. While Jesus was on earth He used a man called Lazarus to paint a graphic picture of this truth for us. Lazarus was sick; He allowed him to die; then after four days in the grave, He showed up to raise him.

KNOW JESUS

When Jesus arrived both Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus, said exactly the same thing to Him.“If you had been here, my brother would not have died." (John 11:22, 32). They both knew Jesus to that extent. Nothing dies in His presence. No sickness is powerful enough to kill anyone in His presence.

But through this experience, Jesus was ready to give them a deeper revelation of Himself. Nothing stays dead when He shows up. Death must flee in His presence. The dead must rise again.

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:23-26).

The only reason Jesus showed up was to raise Lazarus. He said so Himself. Otherwise He wouldn't have come. “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.” (John 11:11).

A STUDY OF JESUS

If you study Jesus in scripture you will see Him attend a marriage in Cana of Galilee.

You will see Him, on different occasions, at dinner with Pharisees, Publicans and friends.

You will see Him at a feast.

You will see Him teaching, preaching, healing and casting out devils.

But not once can we find Him in scripture at a funeral service.

He deliberately avoided physically dead people and places of death.

Why?

He wanted the message to be very clear - by all means - that He came to give life.

He wanted everyone to know that if He showed up where there was a dead person, He came to raise him up.

On one occasion He had a revealing conversation with a disciple.

"And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead." (Matthew 8:21-22).

THE DEAD RAISER!

When Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life", it was more than words.

For those who dared to believe and ask Him to, He raised their dead.

First He raised Jairus' daughter who had just died ((Mark 5:35-43).

Next, in His compassion, He raised the only son of the widow of Nain who crossed His path on her way to the cemetery to bury her dead (Luke 7:11-15).

Then He raised Lazarus after four days in the grave (John 11:1-45).

HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD!

Finally Jesus purposefully died on the Cross for all our sins; and was buried. It was God's strategy to completely conquer Satan who then had the power of death over man (Hebrews 2:14-15). Jesus the resurrection and life went into the domain of death itself. When the Holy Spirit showed up there on the third day, death could not stand His presence. Jesus rose up triumphantly with the keys of death and hell (Revelation 1:17-18). He did it all for us. Since then He has been ready and willing to give life to everyone that will ask Him. He is ready to fill you with His life and presence.

The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a LIFE GIVING Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45, NLT).

YOU CAN HAVE LIFE!

When you believe in Jesus as the Life Giver you will allow Him to come into your heart and drive out death from your spirit just as light drives out darkness. You can ask Him right now to be your Lord and Saviour. You can ask Him to save you and give you life. I assure you that He will give life to you.

THERE'S HEALING FOR YOUR BODY!

He did not just die for our sin; He also bore our sicknesses and diseases in His death. Jesus died to heal us. Sickness and diseases are agents of death. If Jesus meets sickness in your body He will drive it out.

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will GIVE LIFE to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you" (Romans 8:11, NLT).

RESURRECTION POWER IS IN YOU!

Can you see the value of Jesus? Can you see the value of the life He gives? If you invite Jesus He will come. If Jesus comes and meets sickness, you are healed. If Jesus comes and meets death, you are raised. Christ in you is life in you. It is the resurrection power in you. Death cannot stay in His presence. Death cannot stay in you when you are carrying the resurrection and the Life. Devil, who is the agent of death, has to leave you alone. Jesus has delivered you from the power of death and Satan.

EXPERIENCE RESURRECTION!

The resurrection and the Life is in you!

You are made righteous!

You are healed!

You shall live and not die!

God will fulfill the number of your days!

He will satisfy you with long life!

He will show you His salvation!

You will live for Him!

You will live in His presence!

Abundant, overflowing, life is yours!

Your mind comes alive!

Your dreams and visions comes alive!

Your purpose and calling comes alive!

Everything concerning you is restored back to life!

It is a new life!

You can now speak life to your body and circumstances in the name of Jesus Christ.

Have a joyful Resurrection!
