WORTH OF THE GIFT OF GOD

Sin is the default nature of all people at birth. That is as a result of the sin of the first man Adam. The consequences of that nature is called SPIRITUAL DEATH; a state of separation from God.

Fear, doubt, anxiety and all negative emotions are manifestations of SPIRITUAL DEATH.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans  6:23).

ETERNAL LIFE is the antidote to SPIRITUAL DEATH. It is the gift of God to all humanity. But it can only be received through Jesus Christ.

Just as sin and spiritual death are together; righteousness and eternal life are also together.

You could say that sin and spiritual death are gifts of Satan to man through Adam.

On the other hand, righteousness and eternal life are gifts of God to us through Jesus Christ.

Just as fear, doubt, anxiety and all negative emotions are manifestations of spiritual death; faith, peace, joy and all positive emotions are manifestations of eternal life.

Evil is received through fear, doubt and anxiety. But good is received through faith, peace and joy.

THE GIFT OF GOD.

God has given eternal life to us. But it is in Jesus Christ. To receive eternal life you must receive Jesus Christ.

"And this is the record, that God has GIVEN to us ETERNAL LIFE, and THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON.

HE THAT HAS THE SON HAS LIFE; and he that has not the Son of God has not life." (1 John  5:11-12).

Jesus Himself said so by describing eternal life as the antidote to the works of the devil.

"The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might HAVE LIFE, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John  10:10).

THE PRACTICAL VALUE OF ETERNAL LIFE?

By listening to what Jesus Christ said He came to give to us; we can conclude that eternal life is the fountainhead of the PEACE and JOY that reigns over all circumstances.

"PEACE I leave with you, MY PEACE I GIVE unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John  14:27).

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might HAVE PEACE. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John  16:33).

"These things have I spoken unto you, that MY JOY might remain in you, and that YOUR JOY MIGHT BE FULL." (John  15:11).

"And you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and YOUR JOY no man takes from you." (John  16:22).

"And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might HAVE MY JOY fulfilled in themselves." (John  17:13).
