MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

Sheep are food for wolves. So only a wicked person would send sheep into the midst of wolves. That is a death sentence; a suicide mission. But look at what Jesus said to His disciples.

"Behold, I send you forth AS SHEEP in the midst of wolves: be you therefore WISE as serpents, and harmless as doves." (Matthew  10:16).

Jesus sent them after He gave them authority over all the power of the enemy (Matthew 10:1, Luke 9:1-2). Would a sheep be willing to go into the midst of wolves?" The answer is obviously No. But a sheep who knows that he has authority over the power of wolves to harm him would go. But wolves cannot agree that a sheep has authority over them.

What Jesus was really telling His disciples was that there will be attempts to trouble, afflict and hurt them. There will be persecution and suffering. Paul later wrote about this to the church in the book of Romans.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted AS SHEEP for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us." (Romans  8:36- 37).

Jesus was telling His disciples that the enemy will ignorantly reckon them as sheep for the slaughter. He would consider them as harmless, easy prey and seek to destroy them.

But their strength should lie in the knowledge of who they are and what they have. They should put that to use. That will be their wisdom. Therefore they can afford to be gentle. They must understand that they have spiritual authority over every strategy of the enemy to destroy them. They may be sheep on the outside; but they have the love and backing of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. They have a Lion as their Shepherd.

Every child of God carries the Lion of the tribe of Judah inside of him. Greater is He that's in you than he that's in the world.

Child of God the Lord has prepared a table before you in the midst of your enemy. It is a table of signs and wonders, miracles, healings, deliverance, peace and supernatural provision.

The truth is that you are more than conquerors. You have been declared the winner before the fight even began. You are the heir of the victory of Christ. You only show up to receive it. You may be in the midst of the enemy, but hey, the Lord says;

"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19).

In spite of the wolves you will have your testimony if you use your authority.

Glory be to God!
