WHERE LOVE IS FOUND.

Like David we all need a FRIEND to help us fulfill our destiny. I pray that you will recognize YOUR FRIEND(s) when you meet them in the Name of Jesus Christ.

"And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan LOVED HIM as his own soul.  


Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because HE LOVED HIM as his own soul.  


And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle." (1 Samuel  18:1, 3-4).


This kind of love defines true friendship; which is the highest level of relationship. 


PHILEO VERSUS AGAPE.


The Greek language distinguishes between different kinds of love. Let's consider two of them here.


AGAPE is sacrificial, unconditional love. It is divinely powered and released through faith. 


PHILEO is the natural love that exists among family members or blood relations. 


PHILEO cannot withstand envy and jealousy. But AGAPE does not only withstand jealousy and envy; it conquers them.


AGAPE is the highest level of love. It also defines a higher level of relationship than family. 


AGAPE defines friendship. True friendship is supernatural; it is divinely forged as in the case of David and Jonathan.


AGAPE can only be found among friends. That is exactly what Jesus was defining in John  15:13.


"GREATER LOVE has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for HIS FRIENDS." 


You will notice that Jesus did not say; "GREATER LOVE has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for HIS BROTHERS." 


He knew exactly what He was saying. When you are laying down your life, you are becoming a friend.


Christ is the wisdom of God. Long before Christ was made manifest in the flesh, King Solomon wrote about friendship by the wisdom of God.


"A FRIEND LOVES AT ALL TIMES, and A BROTHER is born for adversity." (Proverbs  17:17).


"A man that has FRIENDS must show himself FRIENDLY: and there is A FRIEND that sticks closer than A BROTHER." (Proverbs  18:24).


√ A friend will never leave you nor forsake you. He loves at ALL TIMES.


√ A friend sticks closer than a brother.


A BROTHER can grow to become a FRIEND. A FRIEND doesn't have to be a BROTHER. 


It is better to MARRY a friend; because AGAPE is the divine prescription for MARRIAGE.


The love of Jesus for us is AGAPE. That was also the love that Jonathan had for David. He was a friend that sticks closer than a brother.


Let me emphasize that AGAPE is supernatural love. Even as a child of God, you must let God, by the Holy Spirit, have His way in your life, if you want to release AGAPE. 


"And hope makes not ashamed; because THE LOVE OF GOD is shed abroad in our hearts by the HOLY GHOST which is given unto us." (Romans  5:5),
