THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR ETERNAL VICTORY.

The greatest rivalry in the history of boxing is arguably that between the legendary Mohammed Alli and Joe Frazier in the heavyweight category. After two fights in 1971 and 1974, both men were tied 1-1. On October 1st, 1975 they fought each other again for the third time, in a rematch dubbed by Alli as the "Trilla in Manila". In what is perhaps the most bitter and brutal fight in boxing history, Alli defeated his opposition by a technical knockout. 

They fought thrice because there was the opportunity for a rematch. 

THE HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT OF ALL TIMES!

Long before the Alli versus Frazier fight, over two thousand years ago, there was a heavyweight fight that many have come to understand its temporal and eternal implications. This time it was the spiritual fight between Jesus Christ and Satan, the archenemy of humanity. Satan was the reigning champion. He was god on the earth; a title which he won by deceiving Adam, the original champion crowned by God Himself. 

Jesus was fighting for the liberation of humanity from bondage to Satan, who wanted to keep his reign. It was a bloody fight indeed. According to his nature, Satan was brutal and violent; dealing death to Jesus. But Jesus was gentle, wise and visionary. In the end wisdom prevailed. The battered, broken and dead Jesus achieved His purpose. 

He died on the Cross for the sins of humanity.

He rose again on the third day to save humanity. 

His blood washed away the sin of humanity. 

From the power of Satan and the curse, He redeemed humanity.

By His stripes and broken body He healed the sicknesses and diseases of humanity. 

By His Spirit He gives eternal life to believing humanity. 

Jesus Christ completely destroyed Satan and his authority over humanity.

Jesus Christ now has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18). None belongs to Satan. If you believe in Jesus Christ He comes to dwell in you. That's the mystery of God in man. He gives His victory over Satan to those who believe in Him. He gives those who believe in Him His authority on earth. They didn't fight Satan; but they are called overcomers. 

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4).

THERE IS NO REMATCH!

Unlike the fight between Mohammed Alli and Joe Frazier, there is no rematch between Jesus Christ and Satan. Christ has already defeated Satan once and for all. He is reigning now as Lord. He is in us to reign through us, not to fight Satan again. 

It is so important to understand that Christ is not in us to fight Satan again.

Neither are we to fight Satan. The fight was between him and Jesus. Satan has lost forever. Our fight is a fight of faith. We stand up to remind Satan that he has lost to Jesus who is our Lord. Jesus is the King of kings. He made us king and priests to reign on the earth (Rev. 1:6; 5:10). 

Father help us to understand that we are not victims; we are Overcomers.
