You were CREATED TO BE FREE!

You are a spirit. God created you to be free; to live and dwell in His love. Few people are really free. All they have is religion. The love of God is the spiritual habitat of a truly free man. 

To live and dwell in the love of God we need an understanding of the two realms of the spirit. The realm of darkness and the realm of light; and how to cross over from darkness to light and live in freedom. 


THE TWO REALMS OF THE SPIRIT

. . . darkness and light.

The spirit realm controls life on earth. Therefore it is important for us to understand the forces of the spirit . We get the first glimpse of the activity of the spirit realm in Genesis 1:3-4.

"And THE EARTH was without form, and void; and DARKNESS was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be LIGHT: and there was light.

And God saw THE LIGHT, that it was GOOD: and God divided THE LIGHT from THE DARKNESS."

We see DARKNESS; and we see LIGHT. But this wasn't just speaking of physical darkness or light. Physical light wasn't created until later when the sun and the moon were made.

This was referring to the two spiritual forces. Darkness (controlled by Satan) and light (controlled by Almighty God).

Darkness is the spiritual realm of all evil. While light is the spiritual realm of all good. Light is the realm of glory.

These two realms ar also referred to scripturally in the following ways.

The realm of LIFE and the realm of DEATH.

The realm of RIGHTEOUSNESS and the realm of SIN.

The realm of the BLESSING and the realm of the CURSE.

The realm of GOOD and the realm of EVIL.

The KINGDOM OF GOD and the KINGDOM OF SATAN.

These are the two spiritual forces (darkness and light) in contention on earth. The contention is for the soul and life of man.

TWO KINDS OF PEOPLE

. . .True Freedom!

Man was created in the realm of light and life. But when he sinned he fell into the realm of darkness and death.

But God has provided a way for man to pass from death back into life. The process is described in Colossians 1:12-14

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints IN LIGHT:

Who hath delivered us from the power of DARKNESS, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

In whom we have REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, even the forgiveness of sins".

The blood of Jesus Christ shed on the Cross at Calvary is the spiritual boundary between the realm of darkness and light. Through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ and applying the blood, man can step from darkness into light. Outside the blood man remains in darkness. 

Jesus Himself spoke about this freedom from the forces of darkness and death in the following words.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, hath EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into condemnation; but is PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE." (John 5:24).

So there are two kinds of people on earth. Man is a spirit with a soul. You are either of the kingdom of darkness; or you are of the kingdom of light. This is determined by whether you have faith in the blood of Jesus Christ shed for the sin of man in the Cross at Calvary.

Through faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ, by confessing and forsaking of sin, sinful man can cross over from the realm of death into the realm of life. It is a movement from condemnation into freedom!

LIVING IN THE LIGHT

. . . the way of love.

It is one thing to pass from darkness to light. It is another thing to live practically there by knowledge and benefit from it. The following scripture gives us instruction on how to live in the light.

"We KNOW that we have PASSED from Death unto LIFE, because WE LOVE THE BRETHREN. He that LOVETH NOT his brother ABIDETH IN DEATH." (1 John 3:14).

The realm of DARKNESS is the realm of HATRED. The realm of LIGHT is the realm of LOVE; the love of God.

With that understanding we can relate practically with the two realms. If you are walking in hatred you are still living in the realm of death, the realm of darkness. Satan can hurt you. 

If you are walking in love you are living in the realm of life, the realm of light. You have left Satan's territory or authority. He can no longer hurt you without your permission. You are under divine covering.

Walking in love is walking in the light. Walking in love is abiding in life. Walking in love is walking in the Spirit. Walking in love puts you under the power of the blood of Jesus Christ; outside the territory of Satan.
