LIGHT FOR LEADERSHIP

POWER BELONGS TO GOD!

The most important understanding every leader in any capacity should have is that power belongs to God. A leader is only a steward of the power of God. He is given power for service. He is a minister of God for the good of the people and against evil(i).


A leader who does not understand this will not only be a great oppressor, he is also heading for a great destruction; because he will lack the mercy of God.

This is perhaps the revelation that made David one of the greatest leaders that ever lived. That was why he was prone to do kindness.


It was David who wrote these words; "God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God.

Also unto you, O Lord, belongs mercy: for you render to every man according to his work." (Psalms 62:11-12).

For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: FOR HE IS THE MINISTER OF GOD, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil." (Romans 13:1, 4).
