UNDERSTAND THAT GOD IS RICH IN MERCY

Image
UNDERSTAND THAT GOD IS RICH IN MERCY By Nicholas Uanikhoba “But God, who is rich in mercy , for His great love wherewith He loved us …”  (Ephesians 2:4) Mercy is not a side feature of God’s nature; it is the overflowing expression of His love toward us. Paul says He is rich in mercy. That means He is never bankrupt of mercy, never limited in mercy, and never unwilling to show mercy. Whatever form of human need exists, God’s mercy has an answer for it. Think of it this way. It is a scientific law that energy is never destroyed; it only changes form. In the same way, God’s mercy is never exhausted; it simply manifests in different forms to meet the human need before it. Mercy Forgives Sin When the tax collector in Luke 18 cried, “God be merciful to me, a sinner,” he went home justified. When David fell into sin, he prayed, “Have mercy upon me, O God,” and God forgave him (Psalm 51:1). Mercy takes the form of forgiveness to cleanse the guilty. Mercy Heals the Sick Two blind men cr...

LOVE BEFORE LEADERSHIP: A Divine Pattern for Marriage

LOVE BEFORE LEADERSHIP: A Divine Pattern for Marriage By Nicholas Uanikhoba “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.” “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.” “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” ( Ephesians 5:22, 25; Genesis 2:24). Marriage between a man and his woman is a divine idea, not human. And because God designed it, He alone defines how it should work. In Ephesians 5, we see that marriage is not merely about partnership or companionship; it’s a powerful reflection of a divine relationship: the love between Christ and the Church. That love is sacrificial, redemptive, and transformative. In this pattern, we discover a divine order that love must come before leadership. 1. Marriage Mirrors Christ and the Church Scripture reveals that the love between a husband and wife is meant to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. Jesu...

Take Root Downward, Bear Fruit Upward The Flow of a Thriving Life

Take Root Downward, Bear Fruit Upward The Flow of a Thriving Life By Nicholas Uanikhoba Throughout Scripture, the imagery of trees conveys profound truths about life in God, the life of the righteous. Psalm 1:3 paints the picture: "They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers." Your life is like a tree. And every part of this tree offers vital lessons about how your spiritual life can thrive in Christ. LOVE: The Soil that Nourishes all Growth Before we speak of roots or fruit, we must begin with the ground. God’s love is the soil in which your entire life as a believer grows. "…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love …" (Ephesians 3:17) God’s love is the unchanging environment that nourishes every part of your spiritual being. It is because He first loved us that we can respond wit...

FRIENDS OF JESUS: The Unfailing Power of Walking in Love

Image
FRIENDS OF JESUS: The Unfailing Power of Walking in Love By Nicholas Uanikhoba "Therefore, doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father."  (John 10:17–18). God is love. But for His love to reach a fallen world, the Son had to obey the Father’s command. Love alone could not save us. It required an obedient sacrifice. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son..."  (John 3:16) In the same way, Jesus now calls us to live in this flow of obedient love. Just as the Father needed Jesus’s obedience for His love to reach us, Jesus now needs our obedience for His love to reach others. That is why love is a commandment, not a suggestion. It was a commandment for Jesus. It is a commandment for us: "This is My commandment, that you love one...

Faith, Patience, and the Unstoppable Purposes of God

Image
Faith, Patience, and the Unstoppable Purposes of God By Nicholas Uanikhoba Delay often fuels unbelief. Unbelief, in turn, sponsors impatience. And impatience drives us to take matters into our own hands. God’s promises are always good, but acting outside of His timing never produces good. Impatience leads to sin, not because we are weak, but because we’ve stepped out of faith. That’s why we need help to overcome the spirit of impatience. It’s one of the enemy’s strategies to rob us. He cannot stop God from giving a promise. And if he can’t stop us from believing and obeying, he’ll try to stop us from waiting for the manifestation. But here is the good news: Even our impatience cannot cancel God's promise. It may delay it. It may bring pain and detours. But if we repent and return to faith, God’s Word will still come to pass. Nothing can stop the promise God has made. Not Satan. Not time. Not age. Not even death. Consider Abraham and Sarah. When Sarah grew wea...

HEALED BY LOVE

Image
Anchoring Your Faith in God’s Love for Healing and Victory “We have known and believed the love that God has for us.” – 1 John 4:16 When pain lingers, the diagnosis looks grim, and when your strength seems to fade, where do you anchor your faith? Faith in God’s power is unquestioned for many, but what about faith in His love ? This article is a call to return to the deepest anchor of our faith: the unshakable love of God, the love that heals, restores and leads us to victory. 1. The Love of God Is Substitutional—He Took Your Place The cross is the ultimate demonstration of God's love. Jesus didn’t just die for us—He died our death . He took our place in sin, sickness, and judgment , bearing everything we deserved so that we could receive everything He deserved. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5. • SIN – He became sin so we could be righteous (2 C...

Spiritual Etiology: Tracing the Root of Bitterness

Spiritual Etiology: Tracing the Root of Bitterness Uncovering the Hidden Cause of Division and Defilement By Nicholas Uanikhoba “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.” – Hebrews 12:14, 15 (NKJV) What Is Spiritual Etiology? In medicine, etiology is all about tracing where a disease started. Now, imagine looking at our spiritual lives the same way—tracking down the roots of inner and relational struggles. Bitterness isn’t just a fleeting emotion. Scripture describes it as a root—hidden, slow-growing, but eventually powerful enough to wreak serious havoc. Like any root, it does its damage underground before its effects ever surface. And when it does, it brings conflict, chaos, and even spiritual contamination. That’s the essence of spiritual etiology: peeling back the layers to find whe...
