UNDERSTAND THAT GOD IS RICH IN MERCY By Nicholas Uanikhoba “But God, who is rich in mercy , for His great love wherewith He loved us …”  (Ephesians 2:4) Mercy is not a side feature of God’s nature; it is the overflowing expression of His love toward us. Paul says He is rich in mercy. That means He is never bankrupt of mercy, never limited in mercy, and never unwilling to show mercy. Whatever form of human need exists, God’s mercy has an answer for it. Think of it this way. It is a scientific law that energy is never destroyed; it only changes form. In the same way, God’s mercy is never exhausted; it simply manifests in different forms to meet the human need before it. Mercy Forgives Sin When the tax collector in Luke 18 cried, “God be merciful to me, a sinner,” he went home justified.
