Discerning the Spirits in an Age of Deception

Image
Why Every Believer Needs This Crucial Gift Today We live in a time unlike any other in history—a time when deception is not only rampant but often can’t be distinguished from truth. Voices can be cloned. Videos can be fabricated to tell stories that never happened. Pictures can be altered to paint false impressions. In this era of digital illusions and spiritual confusion, one of the most critical gifts the Holy Spirit offers believers is the gift of discernment of spirits . The apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, mentions this gift among the manifestations of the Spirit: “…to another the discerning of spirits…” (1 Corinthians 12:10, NKJV). This isn’t simply the ability to be suspicious or skeptical. It is a supernatural capacity to perceive the true nature of what is happening—beyond what the eyes can see or the ears can hear. Why Discernment Is Vital Today In Matthew 24:24 , Jesus issued a sobering warning: “For false Christs and false prophets will ris...

The Divine Promise of Glory

Image
Christ in you, the hope of glory. “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”  — Colossians 1:27 (KJV) This powerful New Testament truth reveals a mystery that was hidden for generations but now made known to the saints: Christ lives in us—and He is our hope of glory . This isn't merely a future promise for heaven. It is a present assurance for every child of God that in Christ, we are destined for glory—even during earthly trials . Whether in this life or the life to come, the end of our story is marked by His glory. Hope in This Life and the Life to Come The apostle Paul offers this powerful perspective in 1 Corinthians 15:19 : “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” This reveals two distinct but connected categories of hope: Hope in this life – God's intervention, strength, provision, healing, and victory in o...

JEHOVAH-JIREH: Understanding God's Pattern of Provision and Our Response of Faith

Image
Introduction: A Message for Our Times   In today’s world inflation, layoffs, global instability, and personal uncertainties abound. Many believers are asking, “Will God provide for me?” Whether it’s provision for finances, purpose, protection, or peace of mind, the cry is growing and it is real. At the same time, there is a lot of confusion, especially when it concerns giving. While some preach guilt, others preach greed. But what we need is a grace-based, Scripture-rooted spiritual understanding of how God provides and how we are to respond. This is why a fresh revelation of God as Jehovah-Jireh is not only timeless but is also relevant now. It reveals that God does not wait for needs to arise before He provides. He makes provision before the need ever shows up. The story of Noah, the test of Abraham, and the ultimate sacrifice of Christ all emphasize this unchanging truth: God is always the first Giver. He provides the seed. We simply respond in faith. The Centrality of Worship B...

Spirit-Led Leadership in the Kingdom of God

Image
Introduction In the Kingdom of God, leadership is unlike anything the world esteems. It is not rooted in charisma, titles, or influence. Kingdom leadership is rooted in submission to Christ and dependence on the Holy Spirit . At the heart of Kingdom leadership is this truth: 🕊️ “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” — Romans 8:14 (KJV) Those who lead in the Kingdom must first learn to follow well —not just people, but the Spirit of God , who glorifies Jesus in all things. Leadership by the Spirit Romans 8:14 reminds us that sonship—and by extension, Kingdom responsibility—is for those who are led by the Spirit . In other words, no one qualifies to lead in God's Kingdom unless they are first led by God . The Spirit is not an optional guide; He is the very compass of our calling . 🔑 “No one qualifies to lead in the Kingdom who isn’t first led by the Spirit.” Jesus, the ultimate example of leadership, was: Led by the Spirit ...
